Balboa Bay Partners (BBP) has been selected to be at the forefront of enabling a California utility adapt to the business process and IT system changes required as it implements it's first Community Choice Aggregation (CCA).
The CCA program in California allows local governments to provide electricity to their communities (procuring power from a provider different than the local utility).
As part of this effort, BBP coordinates and communicates with the City/Community as well as the new Electricity Provider to ensure that end to end Business processes are well defined, and clear rules of engagement/ roles and responsibilities are established between each party.
BBP ensures that modifications to the utility’s processes are captured, defined and documented as per the CCA implementation plan, changes to IT systems are carried out, User Testing, Change Management and other functions are clearly documented and conducted and will continue to serve as the Subject Matter Experts on CCA as the utility undergoes this transformation.
